Pont du Carrousel is a bridge in Paris that spans the River Seine. It is located in the 1st arrondissement, connecting the Tuileries Gardens to the south with the Palais Royal complex to the north. The bridge was opened in 1834 and was designed by Antoine-Rémy Polonceau, who also contributed to the design of other Parisian bridges such as the Pont des Arts and the Pont d'Austerlitz. The name of the bridge comes from the nearby Carrousel, a former palace and now a museum which is part of the Louvre complex. The Pont du Carrousel is a popular spot for tourists, offering stunning views of the Seine, the Louvre, and the Pont Neuf.
